Konecranes, Springfield, Ohio, USA, has introduced its CXT Electric Wire Rope Hoist for overhead cranes, which, according to the company, provides precise and customizable lifting to meet the needs of industrial plants and assembly workshops. The hoists have been designed and manufactured to meet the demands of industrial material handling environments safely and reliably. The unit’s compact design accommodates facilities with limited headroom above the crane while maximizing the use of available floor space, and it can be custom-tailored for any lifting need up to an 80 metric ton capacity.

CXT Electric Wire Rope Hoists include a durable hoisting motor with a 60% duty cycle and rugged D.C. brakes designed for a million cycles of operation. They have easy access for maintenance and are backed by the world’s largest overhead crane parts and service network, Konecranes notes.

The hoists can be programmed with Konecranes advanced intelligent functions, or Smart Features, such as sway control, target positioning, and protected area functions, all of which offer total control over process tasks. Combined with True Lift™, which enables fast, accurate load positioning by limiting horizontal hook movement, the CXT delivers enhanced safety and productivity, the company says.

TRUCONNECT® Remote Monitoring and Reporting from Konecranes is available with CXT Wire Rope Hoists. This remote connection to the crane provides usage data, including information about safety, operation, statistics, and service life, helping both the customer and Konecranes service technicians plan and provide needed maintenance when the equipment requires it—ultimately increasing safety while reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
