U.S. Containerboard Output Rises in March

U.S. containerboard production in March increased 8.7% over February and was 3.8% higher than the same month last year, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) March 2014 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report released this week. The month-over-month average daily production decreased 1.8%.
Shipments for March were 2,958.2 thousand tons, representing 166.2 billion square feet. The containerboard operating rate for March decreased 1.7 points from February, from 96.3% to 94.6%.
