Menasha Packaging Acquires Strine Printing

Menasha Packaging Co., Neenah, Wis., USA, has acquired Strine Printing Co., York, Pa. Both companies are family-owned. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

According to Mike Waite, president of Menasha Packaging, "The acquisition of Strine Printing Co. strengthens our graphic packaging, merchandising, and fulfillment capabilities and supports our operations on the East Coast. Customers continue to value Menasha Packaging's full-range of packaging materials and services, and with Strine, we will continue to respond to this growing demand."

Jim Kotek, president and CEO of Menasha Corp., added that "the Strine acquisition is an outstanding strategic fit with Menasha Packaging's focus on providing point-of-sale expertise to targeted customers. The acquisition will allow Menasha Packaging to deliver a broader offering to Strine and existing Menasha Packaging customers, and represents a key step in expanding both our market presence and base of customers."

Menasha Corp. is the parent of Menasha Packaging. Its other business is ORBIS Corp. Strine employs approximately 300 people and has a manufacturing plant and two warehouses in York.
