Kemira’s Büchele to Leave Position as President, CEO

At its annual general meeting this past week, Kemira Oyj, Finland, announced that Wolfgang Büchele will leave his position as president and CEO as of April 30, and will begin as Linde AG`s president and CEO on May 20. He is currently also a member of the supervisory board of Merck KGaA (to be proposed as chairman of the supervisory board).

The company also elected six members (previously five) to its board of directors. Reelected were Winnie Fok, Juha Laaksonen, Jari Paasikivi, and Kerttu Tuomas. New members elected were Wolfgang Büchele and Timo Lappalainen. Paasikivi was elected as the board`s chairman and Tuomas was elected as the vice chairman.
