Södra Increases Price for Softwood Pulp in Europe

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

Södra, Växjö, Sweden, has increased the price of its NBSK (northern bleached softwood kraft) market pulp in Europe to $940 per metric ton, effective March 1. The company notes that the increase is due to strong global markets and solid demand.

Södra’s four business areas produce sawn and planed timber goods, interior products, paper pulp, and biofuel. In recent years, the company has become such a large producer of electricity that it now produces more electricity than it uses.
