Stora Enso, Finland, reports that after the launch of MediaCard in 2012, it has improved the bulk and stiffness according to customer and market needs. "With the re-launch of MediaCard, Stora Enso completes its packaging and graphical board offering for brand owners, designers, converters, and printers," said Eckhard Kallies, VP, Stora Enso Specialty Papers.

"The high-white, bright, and silky smooth surface of MediaCard supports excellent print results and is suitable for a wide range of graphical end uses and packaging such as covers, folders, folding boxes, cards, tags, tickets, posters, game cards, and shopping bags," Marcus Weise, business development manager, Stora Enso Specialty Papers, added.

"We have learned from our customers that the smooth and silky surface of MediaCard in combination with its extremely high brightness and whiteness is highly appreciated by the brand owners and consumers. With the improved bulk and stiffness we can reach a much wider market such as graphical and packaging applications that demand a remarkably high visual appearance," Weise continued.

MediaCard is produced at Stora Enso’s Uetersen mill in Germany, with a double silk coated surface on either one or two sides. Free samples are available on request.
