Elliott Baxter and Co. Ltd (EBB), U.K., this week announced the acquisition of Cell Ltd., a U.K.-based carton board and packaging supplier. Cell have been supplying carton board and packaging to the U.K. market for more than 25 years. Its current 10,000 metric tpy business is a complimentary fit to the existing EBB portfolio.

Based on Cell’s 22,000 sq. ft. distribution hub in Derbyshire, the new acquisition will be gradually integrated into the EBB network.

"We are delighted to become part of the EBB Group" said Simon Wooldridge, Cell sales manager. "The combined customer base offers exciting opportunities to cross-sell for both businesses. The financial strength of EBB and the vision of its directors were key factors in our decision to join them."

Matt Elliott, EBB managing director, added that "our distribution expertise, financial strength, and guarantee to be an independent U.K. owned supplier are areas where we think we can add value to Cell's current business model. As a company, we are committed to grow our core business to the graphic print sector, while at the same time continuing to look for acquisition opportunities in both our industry and those closely related."
