Bekaert Solaronics, France, reports that it has received an order through Bellmer Ibérica, Iberia, for the rebuild of drying equipment on PM 2 at the Empaques Modernos de Guadalajara (EMG) mill in Mexico. The project involves replacement of existing infrared drying equipment with a new Webmate® hood for coat drying and profiling after the third coating head. The existing WebMate hood will be moved to after the first coating head where there currently is no infrared system.

EMG is one of 10 companies belonging to the Gondi Group. Founded in 1984 in response to customer demand on the Pacific coast, the mill’s production was initially liner from recycled paper. Later on, EMG expanded its operations and included the manufacture of corrugated and solid fiber boxes. Today, EMG has two paper mills and a modern plant for the production of corrugated boxes. It has the capacity to produce medium and coated papers with weight from 100 to 800 gsm.
