The former textile, paper, and emulsions business of Clariant is now Archroma. This new entity can be added to the growing list of paper solution companies that are restructuring and streamlining their businesses to better serve the changing needs of the paper and packaging Industry. The new company, led by CEO Alexander Wessels, is working to generate a renewed sense of purpose and vision for the company.

In an October interview, Wessels and Rajanikanth Prasad, head of Region North America Paper Solutions, noted that the company’s focus is to be a partner with and not just a product supplier for its clients. Archroma’s emphasis on understanding the requirements of its customer’s end users is also a key initiative. The company has also aligned its three business segments to drive collaboration and innovation in product development.

"Archroma is built on a legacy of more than 100 years. Customer service has always been our focus and we will continue to strengthen that commitment," Wessels said.

Archroma has 25 production sites in 35 countries and represents a commitment from 3,000 employees. The company will be headquartered in Switzerland along with the management team of Archoma’s Paper Solutions Business. The Textile and Emulsion Products Business will be managed from Singapore and Brazil, respectively.
