Dryer Safety Valves – Help Needed

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

A team of TAPPI experts from the Yankee Dryer Safety and Reliability Committee has volunteered to develop a TAPPI TIP (Technical Information Paper) on dryer safety valves. Valve requirements are not commonly understood and proper application can lead to a more productive, efficient, and safe dryer section. On the contrary, improperly applied or defective valves can be a huge risk for injury or unplanned downtime.

If you have safety valve expertise on conventional steam heated dryers, including yankees, please contact Scott Springmier. We are particularly in need of experts located in Europe and Asia. Your help can make our industry better.
