Stora Enso Modernizing Fiberline at Oulu Mill in Finland

Stora Enso, Finland, has ordered from Andritz, Graz, Austria, equipment for modernization of the fiberline at its Oulu mill in Finland. The goal of the modernization is to improve operational cost efficiency by increasing energy efficiency and reducing chemical consumption .The modernized plant will be started up in two phases in 2014 and 2015.

The Andritz scope of supply includes a cooking upgrade with a new Help pre-steaming chip silo and supply of a new bleaching stage with a drum displacer washer. The Oulu mill has an annual production capacity of 1,125,000 metric tons of coated wood free paper and 370,000 metric tons of long-fiber pulp.
