Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

The U.S. effective list price for NBSK (northern bleached softwood kraft) pulp hit $970/metric ton this month, up $20-$30, according to PPI Pulp & Paper Week (P&PW), which added that the last time NBSK list pricing in North America reached $970 was in September 2011.

U.S. market pulp producers this past month had pushed through a $20/metric ton NBSK list price hike, but the effective list actually increased from $940-950 in September to the $970 for October, and increased on southern bleached softwood kraft from $900-910 in September to $930 this month, according to P&PW.
