Sosnina Named President of IP Russia

International Paper, Memphis, Tenn., USA, has announced that Ksenia Sosnina will join the company as president of IP Russia. The appointment follows the departure of Franz Josef Marx who recently joined the International Paper Russian joint venture Ilim Group as its new CEO, IP said in a statement.

Jean-Michel Ribieras, president of International Paper EMEA, said that "we are delighted to have Ksenia join International Paper. With more than 15 years experience in the Russian packaging market, she will be a great addition to our existing team in this strategically important market".

In her role as president of International Paper Russia, Sosnina will be responsible for all of IP’s interests in Russia, including manufacturing, commercial operations, and all related activities.

"Ksenia’s experience in this region will help us further sustain our strong performance by leveraging existing market opportunities and strengthening the existing collaboration with our joint venture partners the Ilim Group to deliver even greater commercial attractiveness for our customers" remarked Ribieras. Before this appointment, Sosnina was VP of Stora Enso in Russia.
