Verso Paper Corp., Memphis, Tenn., USA, has introduced Aspect® EDP Face Sheet, the latest addition to its growing portfolio of Aspect Label and Release Papers products. The Aspect Label and Release Papers product line, which includes pressure-sensitive face sheet, cut and stack label, and SCK release paper, leverages generations of Verso papermaking expertise to deliver specialty paper solutions that meet the stringent requirements of label customers.

The Aspect EDP Face Sheet product is an uncoated, high brightness, surface-sized free sheet paper suitable for impact and non-impact printing. It possesses an appealing combination of brightness and shade, resulting in enhanced bar code and human readable printing. The paper's physical properties provide the dimensional stability and strength required in the pressure-sensitive label converting process.

"With our growing line of Aspect Label and Release Papers, Verso continues to expand our ability to serve customers for pressure-sensitive and glue-applied label technologies," says Mike Weinhold, Verso's SVP of sales, marketing, and product development. "Our Aspect EDP Face Sheet product adds another high quality solution for our label customers."

Verso manufactures its Aspect products on the No. 4 paper machine at its Androscoggin mill in Jay, Maine. "Androscoggin's No. 4 paper machine is well positioned with relative machine scale and an integrated pulp supply," Weinhold explains. "Androscoggin, like all of our mills, has a strong manufacturing focus on producing consistent, quality products, and our Aspect Label and Release Papers are no exception. Our customers want a product and a supplier they can rely on, and Verso delivers on both of those needs."
