Metso Closes FLSmidth Lime Kiln, Recausticizing Technology Transaction

Metso, Finland, this week closed the acquisition of the lime kiln and recausticizing technology of FLSmidth. The acquired business has been affiliated with Metso's Pulp, Paper, and Power segment, Fiber business line. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

A new lime kiln technology center is established in Copenhagen, Denmark. In total, more than 20 employees experienced in the lime kiln and recausticizing business will join Metso in connection with the transaction. The technology center for recausticizing will continue to be located in Karlstad, Sweden.
