Sonoco-Alcore S.a.r.l., Brussels, Belgium, this week announced a EUR 30 per metric ton price increase on all of its recycled paperboard grades in Europe. The price change is effective with shipments on or after February 15.

"The price increase is necessary to manage inflationary cost pressures in Europe, especially energy, freight, starch, and other chemical costs," said Adam Wood, VP, Sonoco-Alcore.

Sonoco-Alcore S.a.r.l., wholly-owned by Sonoco, Hartsville, S.C., USA, operates 30 tube and core plants and five paperboard mills in Europe.
