Tess Ventress Joins TAPPI as Program Director on TAPPISAFE Program

Tess Ventress has joined TAPPI as program director of the TAPPISAFE safety orientation program. TAPPISAFE, a service of TAPPI offered in partnership with the Alliance Safety Council, provides an effective, standardized safety testing and orientation program for contractors and suppliers and is designed specifically by and for the pulp, paper and packaging industries
"I'm very pleased to welcome Tess Ventress to TAPPI as Program Director for TAPPISAFE," said Eric Fletty, TAPPI VP of Operations. "Her strong leadership skills and in-depth experience in industrial safety orientation programs will serve her well as she leads implementation of this growing program. Since its inception, the industry has shown strong support for TAPPISAFE and the program will continue to grow under her leadership."
Ventress has been involved with standardized training for multiple industries. For the past seven years she has worked closely with the utility industry and was instrumental with the development and marketing of a standardized safety orientation program called PowerSafe. Ventress will be based out of Baton Rouge, LA.
TAPPISAFE, provides an efficient, cost effective method for industry contractors to obtain safety training that ensures a standard level of safety awareness has been reached before a contractor goes to a jobsite. The TAPPISAFE program provides a solid foundation in safety by addressing general safety needs for any contractor that works in a pulp, paper, packaging and allied industries. Key aspects of the program include standardized testing that helps reduce redundant and potentially costly safety training, up-to-date OSHA compliance training, standardized/online basic safety training, and instantly verifiable training records.
