Metsä Fibre Increases NBSK Prices in Europe

Metsä Fibre, Finland, is raising the price of its Botnia Nordic Pine NBSK (northern bleached softwood kraft) in Europe, effective November 1, until further notice. The new price is $820 per metric ton, CIF Metsä Fibre's usual European ports.

Metsä Fibre is a subsidiary of Metsä Group, a producer of bleached softwood and hardwood pulp grades at four mills in Finland. The combined production capacity of its mills in Joutseno, Kemi, Rauma, and Äänekoski is 2.4 million metric tpy. The Svir Timber sawmill in Russia is also a wholly-owned subsidiary of Metsä-Fibre Oy.
