SCA's Resigning General Counsel Nyberg to be Replaced by Schmidt

SCA, Stockholm, Sweden, reports that Anders Nyberg is leaving the company as general counsel and will be replaced by Mikael Schmidt, an SCA employee since 1992, most recently as head of legal affairs for the company's now divested packaging operations. His appointment becomes effective October 1.

"Anders Nyberg has served SCA for 24 years in a wide range of senior positions," said SCA's President and CEO Jan Johansson. "With his solid background in the legal profession, experience in international business, and partners, he has contributed valuable experience, professionalism, and knowledge to our company. I wish him the best in his new assignment. His successor, Mikael Schmidt, has an extensive and wide record of experience in international business and firm knowledge about our business."

Nyberg has accepted a new position as EVP in charge of corporate governance and legal affairs for AB Industrivärden in Sweden.

In his role as general counsel, Schmidt will be a member of SCA's Corporate Senior Management Team and will report to the CEO
