StoraEnso Langerbrugge Starts PM 3 after Press Rebuild

Stora Enso's (Finland) Langerbrugge Mill, located in Gent, Belgium, has started up its PM No. 3 after installation of a new press section. PMT Italia S.p.A, Italy, supplied, installed, and started up the new press section.
PM 3, a 6.5 m wide machine producing supercalendered (SC) paper, was rebuilt by partly replacing the existing press section steel framework made completely with stainless steel framing, giving PM 3 a longer operating life time and providing the necessary flexibility for future implementations as well as pressing technology upgrades.
