Wausau Paper Adds Colored Glassines to Product Portfolio

Wausau Paper, Mosinee, Wis., USA, a producer of release liner products, has broadened its glassine portfolio to include colored glassines. The new products meet performance specification requirements for the Pressure Sensitive Tape as well as the Advanced Composite and Sealant industry and its end users.
"Driven by customer demand and our leading position as an innovator, we have expanded our glassine portfolio to include colors," said Sheila Widule, strategic marketing manager, Wausau Paper. "We are the only North American manufacturer of a true glassine and maintain the only integrated facility that houses silicone coaters and paper machines under one roof."
The company has manufactured bleached glassines for many years and can produce sheet weights from 40 g to 90 g, offers one- or two-side silicone-coated capabilities, and provides a consistent release differential range of 1:1 to 1:10.
