KapStone Named Winner of Progressive Manufacturing 100 Awards

KapStone Paper and Packaging Corp., Northbrook, Ill., USA, a producer of unbleached kraft paper products and linerboard, this week reported that its was selected by Managing Automation Media, a Thomas Publishing Co., as the winner for data integration mastery for the PM100 Awards. The PM100 recognizes projects that have achieved distinction in at least one of the eight core disciplines defined by Managing Automation Media as critical to business success in the years ahead.
The PM100 Winners will be honored and presented with their awards at the Manufacturing Leadership Summit 2011 on May 9 in Palm Beach, Fla. More than 200 manufacturing technology executives are expected to attend.
KapStone operates paper mills in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and North Charleston, S.C., a lumber mill in Summerville, S.C., and five chipping mills in South Carolina. The company employs approximately 1,600 people.
