Mondi Increases Uncoated Fine Paper Prices in Europe

Mondi, U.K. and South Africa, a producer of packaging paper, converted packaging products and uncoated fine paper, has announced a price increase of 7% – 12% for all unbleached and bleached sack and specialty kraft paper grades, effective for deliveries beginning April 1 for all European markets. Mondi said the demand for kraft paper continues to be strong and although several increases were implemented during 2010, the continued cost pressure especially for wood and starch necessitates a further increase.
