Myllykoski to Cut 140 Jobs at Kouvola

Myllykoski, Finland, reportedly will eliminate up to 140 jobs at its Kouvola, Finland, mill. Negotiations with the mill's approximately 450 employees are set to begin early next week.According to news reports, the company estimates that the 140 job reduction will allow it to improve overall performace to the tune of some EUR 30 million per year. In November Myllykoski temporarily idled one paper machine at Kouvola,  possibly extending through this year.
