New CEO Appointed for Quebec Forest Industry Council

The Québec Forest Industry Council (CIFQ), Quebec, Canada, announced on Seember 20 the appointment of attorney André Tremblay to the position of CEO as of January 1. Tremblay will take over for Guy Chevrette, the outgoing CEO, while also overseeing the CIFQ's Communications and Public Affairs Direction. Chevrette is retiring after heading up the council for five years.
The Executive Committee was seeking a leader with thorough knowledge of the challenges facing the forest sector. Although Tremblay previously pursued a law career, he has been active in the forest industry since 2004 as general manager of Produits Forestiers Saguenay Inc.
