MWV Listed on Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for Seventh Time

For the seventh year in a row, MeadWestvaco Corp. is listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, the company announced this past week. This year, the Richmond, Va., USA, provider of packaging solutions for multiple industries is also best in class in the Containers & Packaging sector for the sixth year. The DJSI World recognizes leading companies for economic, environmental, and social performance, and evaluates organizations based on their commitment to and success in integrating sustainability into core business objectives and performance.
MWV scored above its peers in the environmental dimension, reflecting a commitment to developing innovative processes and solutions that make its operations more environmentally efficient, such as reducing greenhouse gases.
