Fortress Paper Acquires Fraser Paper's Thurso Pulp Mill

Fortress Specialty Cellulose Inc., Toronto, Ont., Canada, reported this week that it has completed the acquisition of Fraser Paper's pulp mill located in Thurso, Que., Canada. As noted in the OTW article below, Twin Rivers Paper of Maine has finished purchasing two of Fraser's pulp and paper mills in the U.S. and two saw mills in New Brunswick. Fraser's remaining assets remains under creditor protection pursuant to the provisions of the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) of Canada.
