Max Fortune Orders Tissue Line for Greenfield Mill in China

Max Fortune Industrial Ltd., Hong Kong, will install a new Metso Paper (Finland) tissue line at its greenfield mill near Fuzhou city, Fujian province, China. The line will startup in March 2011. The value of the order has not been disclosed, but Metso notes that the market value of a tissue production line of this type is in the range of EUR 15-20 million, depending on the scope of the delivery and the production output.

The new line will produce 60,000 metric tpy of facial, toilet, and towel grades. The raw material for the new line will be virgin pulp. Metso will deliver a complete production line with stock preparation equipment and a tissue machine, including a multi-layer head box, a yankee cylinder, a hood, a dust management system, and a reel. Metso also will supply the automation package, including machine, process, and integrated drive controls, as well as the quality control system.

Max Fortune Industrial is a manufacturer and exporter of paper products, with plants in China and Vietnam. Its range of products include gift bags, greeting cards, gift wraps, and tissue wrapping papers. The company employs more than 5,000 people, supplying customers in North America, Europe, and the Far East.
