Norske Skog to Restart Bio Bio Newsprint Mill in Chile this Month

Norske Skog's (Norway) Bio Bio newsprint mill in Chile, closed since the February earthquake there, will reportedly re-start later this month. The Bio Bio mill, located near Concepcion south of Santiago, has a newsprint production capacity of some 130,000 metric tpy. According to international media, several pulp and paper mills in Chile, which have been closed since the earthquake, are coming back on-stream.
