Solid bleached sulfate board prices in the U.S. through January remained flat at $1,000-1,050/ton, according to Wilde. All of the major producers announced a $40/ton price hike that went into effect in mid-January. Reports suggest that while there is some traction in the price increase, it is uncertain whether it will stick long term.
