You have a great MPI story to tell, well now you have a place to tell it.

The "I Am MPI. I Love What We Do" has a NEW page on our website and is designed to celebrate the PMPI community, the successes we have achieved as a result of being a member, the passion we share for the industry we love and the role we play in it. Check out some of the PMPI stories by clicking here.

Share your MPI story by answering in a paragraph or less why you love what you do. Click here. (An e-mail will follow for you to send your picture.)

We will use this campaign on social media, our website, trade show booth, marketing materials and more, so by submitting your story you agree to your image being used.

Upcoming Events

For our virtual component, we will be extending our presence into the Commonwealth of Virginia and focusing on our furry friends. We have partnered with the Humane Society of Fairfax to host a food and toy/supply drive. For more information, visit the COC webpage and check out the Amazon Wish List.

For our in-person component, get ready to suit up with a hairnet, gloves and apron to help one of D.C.’s most prominent nonprofits, D.C. Central Kitchen, prepare meals. This organization is a nationally recognized "community kitchen" that recycles food from the surrounding area and uses it as a tool to train unemployed adults to develop work skills while providing thousands of meals for local service agencies in the process. For more information, visit the COC webpage.

The Kentucky Derby is America's original, extravagant springtime sports party. We invite you to experience an evening of southern charm and springtime celebration. PMPI and the Louisville CVB partner together to bring the thrills of the Kentucky Derby to DC on May 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Don’t miss out on a night filled with:

Horses
No Derby experience would be complete without an actual race. All attendees will get to take part in electronic horse races.

Silent Auction
The betting does not have to stay on the track. Help support PMPI and gain some great items via our online auction. All you need is your wallet and your smartphone to bid. The auction will go live April 27, 2015.

"Hat’s On" PMPI
Derby Days traditional hat contest will be in full swing. We encourage women and men to top off their Derby duds with a variety of ostentatious head wear. No hat? No worries! We will have some available to craft at the event.

Here is a link to register for Derby Days

Help us hit a home run and donate tickets to a sporting event or sports memorabilia. Be creative with your donation, but, of course, hotel accommodations, airline tickets, and transportation items are perennial winners, too.

Donating is easy!

Click here and you will be connected to PMPI's Bidding For Good Auction page. Once you've made your donation, be sure to join us on May 4, 2015 for the 5th Annual Derby Days at The Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, D.C.

News and Announcements
If you’re planning to take the CMP exam in August, enroll in PMPI’s Boot Camp this summer in Washington, D.C. The class gives students the skills and knowledge you need to succeed and is taught by facilitators who have passed the test. Our two-day program provides a structured road map to study for the CMP exam, test-taking tips, and access to subject matter experts who will present material based on the Convention Industry Council’s recommended textbooks.

The course is open to PMPI members and nonmembers. Register here.
