Canada's Farm Progress Show (CFPS) was another success. After a slow start on Wednesday, attendance numbers rebounded the next day to be the record Thursday daily attendance in recent memory. The total attendance figures for the event were 46,080, slightly higher than the 2010 show totals (45,852), making this show's totals the largest attendance on record.

"The reason for such strong attendance is the growers are getting the value from the show that they are asking for," said Rob O'Connor, Show Manager. "The companies that participate in CFPS keep improving the equipment, displays and personnel, and that is what attracts people to their booths and ultimately the show. I would like to thank all the companies who put their faith and trust in Canada's Farm Progress Show as part of their marketing plan."

Other show results include 833 international visitors and 812 exhibitors. Both are increases from the previous show totals. Survey results from domestic attendees and international attendees are being processed and will be made available in early September.

CFPS management will now focus on the 2014 trade show.

Construction of the new stadium will cause massive changes to the floor plan. "We will shift the show to west side of the show site," O'Connor said. "There is a million dollar renovation to the Canada Centre complex, and it will be ready for CFPS. There will also be new pavement on the south side of the site. We will also use lots B and C for outside space. We are using this opportunity to move exhibits to new locations and make better use of the space we have available. We are excited to add a fresh new atmosphere to the show."
