In response to growing OHS concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic, the following is a general review of OHS law, due diligence principles and the responsibilities of employers, rights of workers and liability under OHS and WC legislation.

This memorandum is not intended to provide specific legal advice, but rather general guidance in light of the declaration of a COVID-19 Pandemic by the World Health Organization (“WHO”) and unprecedented action taken by all levels of government across Canada to control the spread of the virus.
