The Safety Pass is now available to all general contractors, workers, and subcontractors in all sectors.
Every workplace has hazards. Every workplace provides workers with an essential Health and Safety orientation including a site-specific orientation. At times, you will have an employee who has worked on multiple sites and has taken the same basic orientation. The number of orientations given to a worker is time-consuming and full of unnecessary repetition. The Safety Pass will remove the duplication and increase productivity.
We are encouraging ALL OGCA members to use and promote this outstanding resource, and to make it a requirement for all workers and employees entering onto your worksites. It just makes sense! The Safety Pass is FREE and is valid for three years, allowing you to focus your resources on the site-specific orientation.
The Safety Pass provides knowledge of the worker's workplace rights under health and safety legislation, helps them to understand the role of health and safety programs within a workplace, and teaches them how to identify job-related hazards to work safely.
Whether you're an owner, employer, supervisor, general contractor, or worker, you have a role to play in keeping the workplace safe.
