Review of the Dean Report Recommendation for Enforcement and Appeal

The Consultation will take place over the next few weeks and the report will be presented to the government in early July.
The Dean Report was released early this year and the government committed to full implementation of its recommendations. It will realign the Ontario College of Trades to include direction and accountability to the public in its decision-making process. Opposition from some unions and certified trades have focused on the proposed new role for the OLRB, so the move was made to determine how it will be applied.
OGCA and the Ontario Skilled Trades Alliance is working to have the Report fully implemented, including the required legislation.
