Cuomo proposes release of $2 billion for affordable housing

On Sept. 14, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that he directed Robert Mujica, director of the New York State Division of the Budget, to execute a memorandum of understanding to release $2 billion in funding to advance the creation of more than 100,000 units of affordable and supportive housing over the next five years. The $2 billion was set aside in the 2016-17 Enacted Budget. The memorandum now heads to the Senate and Assembly for approval. The press release can be found here.
