RealtyTrac: New York State August 2015 foreclosures rise more than 50 percent from last year

In its U.S. Foreclosure Market Report for August 2015, RealtyTrac reported that New York State had 5,658 total foreclosures, a 1.1-percent decrease from July but a 52.63-percent increase from August 2014. New York State ranks 21 out of all 50 states in monthly total foreclosure filings. One in every 1,434 housing units received a foreclosure filing. Learn more here.
