Thanks to NSSGA members, ROCKPAC smashed records at its March 5 reception, raising $581,925.  This obliterated the previous record of $475,200 set last year and, taken together for the two-year 2013-14 election cycle, puts ROCKPAC in the lofty category of being a million-dollar-PAC for the very first time!

ROCKPAC donors purchased 2,267 tickets to the event, held in the ballroom of the Encore Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev.  Thank you to everyone who participated and helped ROCKPAC achieve such great heights of success.

This year’s theme, "The ROCKPAC Revue," saw co-hosts Paul Mellott and Kim Snyder enter the room dressed as the Blues Brothers to the strains of the song "Soul Man," kicking off the evening’s festivities.

Prior to the drawing for the Grand Prize, Snyder announced the 2014 ROCKPAC Industry Leader awards given to the companies that raised the most money from their employees for ROCKPAC.  Those honored included Martin Marietta Materials, Rogers Group, Inc. and Mellott Company. A Rising Star award was presented to McLanahan Corporation for its increased participation with and contributions to ROCKPAC this year.

The crowd grew excited as the 10 finalists were selected and then sent back to their seats one-by-one as they were eliminated. Finally, with only two tickets remaining, the last ticket was drawn and Lotta Mellott of Mellott Company was the last ticketholder standing, emerging as the winner of the 2014 Mercedes.

A complete list of sponsors, door prizes and winners is attached.  NSSGA would again like to thank everyone who participated in the event, from the contributors to the prize sponsors. We look forward to seeing you once again in Baltimore in 2015!
