CONCRETEPAC is looking for corporate sponsors for this year’s activities at NRMCA’s ConcreteWorks 2016 in Nashville, TN. Corporate sponsorship is a great way for your company to advertise in front of the industry’s top executives and to support CONCRETEPAC – the voice of YOU and YOUR BUSINESS in Washington, DC. CONCRETEPAC sponsorships help underwrite the costs of hosting fundraising events and administrative expenses so that all funds raised can go directly toward supporting federal candidates and incumbents who understand the ready mixed concrete industry.
Buildings
NRMCA will exhibit its Build with Strength program at CONSTRUCT 2016, September 7-9 in Austin, TX. CONSTRUCT, which attracts 2,500 architects and engineers, is the trade show of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). The Build with Strength campaign promotes concrete as the most durable, safe and cost effective choice for building construction.
NRMCA is returning to the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in Los Angeles in early October with an exhibit and launch of the Build with Strength campaign.

On August 16, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), in conjunction with the White House, announced the final rule for reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) and increasing fuel economy standards for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles (such as ready mixed concrete trucks), known as Phase 2. According to EPA, the Phase 2 rule is "expected to lower CO2 emissions by approximately 1.1 billion metric tons, save vehicle owners fuel costs of about $170 billion, and reduce oil consumption by up to 2 billion barrels over the lifetime of the vehicles sold under the program."
Registration for NRMCA’s Fall 2016 Safety Course is now open, but note that this course will sell out very soon. It will take place October 11 - 13 in Indianapolis.
