NRMCA’s video, Jobsite Chute Rinse-off, has been awarded the 2018 Communicator Distinction Award by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA). The training lesson was filmed in Spanish Fork, UT, with NRMCA Producer member Jack B. Parson Company, a CRH Company. The Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals, with AIVA receiving over 6,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes. They are judged and overseen by AIVA’s 600+ members, including PureMatter, Condè Nast, Disney, Republica, Sesame Workshop, MTV, Starbucks, Time Inc., Tribal DDB, Yahoo! and many others.

In Jobsite Chute Rinse-off, mixer drivers learn about various methods to get their chutes clean while not violating environmental regulations. The video also discusses the driver’s responsibility to adapt to each job site’s requirements and when to notify his or her company if there is a problem. Finally, the lesson points out that chute rinse-off plays a role in fleet maintenance as well as being a safety factor since rinsing a chute correctly prevents debris from hitting other vehicles as the mixer returns to the plant.

“Winning this award continues the association’s commitment to constantly communicate the latest information as well as produce products, services and programs that help our members expand their markets and improve their operations, while supporting workforce performance,” said NRMCA President Robert Garbini.
