California Contractor/Engineering Firm Features Web site for Parking Lot Overlays

A concrete contractor/engineering firm in California is showing the capabilities of the firm by featuring concrete overlays of asphalt parking lots on its Web site, reports Jon Hansen, NRMCA senior vice president, local paving.
"I was introduced to Mark Bogh by Tom Tietz with the California Nevada Cement Association a couple of years ago," related Hansen. "During a visit, I told Mark I was going to send him a copy of the Guide to Concrete Overlays of Asphalt Parking Lots. A few months later Mark told me he did his first overlay project, so during a trip to California Tom took me by the project. It was textbook perfect. When I asked Mark how he accomplished such a perfect job on his first project, he simply replied, 'I just read the book.' Since that now famous quote, NRMCA’s industry rallying cry for parking lot overlays has become, 'Just read the book'."
