Concrete Designers: A Hard Act to Follow

Furniture makers are finding surprising new uses for concrete. Once used mostly for outdoor building and industrial applications, concrete is becoming a popular material for today’s furniture makers. By mixing it with fibreglass or micro fibres, designers have been able to transform a cold building material into thin elegant structures with incredible strength, from tables and chairs to candelabras and cushions. Here is a look at some of their creations.
