Professionals agree that bed bugs will remain an issue this summer travel season

This June 7-13, 2020 is Bed Bug Awareness Week, an annual campaign in which the Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), which serves as the public outreach arm of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), works to educate consumers about the prevalence of bed bugs through various media relations and social media tactics. The designation is recognized by Chase’s Calendar of Events and is celebrated throughout the pest management industry. As stay-at-home orders are beginning to lift nationwide, people are eager for summer travel season to begin, but it’s important they do not forget that bed bugs are very much still a threat. To help industry professionals get involved with educating the public, for those who contribute to PPMA, PPMA is sharing a customizable press release, social posts and graphics and a series of exclusive videos, all of which are aimed at ensuring the public is educated on the threat of bed bugs and the importance of working with a licensed pest control professional.
