NPMA ePestWorld
News From National
The Executive Leadership Program was created to find passionate, committed, and engaged individuals from all parts of the country who want to enhance NPMA and the membership experience while connecting with industry leaders.

During this program, ELP candidates will participate in a two-year planned curriculum that prepares them for association leadership.

NPMA will appoint PMPs from across the country to participate in the ELP. NPMA will fund your participation and travel to Academy and PestWorld, so that you can be part of our board meeting, share your experiences and take advantage of networking and learning activities.

For more information on the program and eligibility criteria, click here. Applications are due by December 9.

December 1, 2016 is rapidly approaching and there have been several developments concerning the Overtime Rule since Election Day 2016.  In light of a Trump Administration and a Republican controlled Congress there has been much speculation on the future and implementation of the Overtime Rule. Click here for the most current information on delaying or changing the Overtime Rule.
The Rusty Patched Bumble Bee was the first proposed bee to be listed as endangered. NPMA is collaborating with the Pesticide Policy Coalition (PPC) on comments. After the comment period, an additional one-year waiting period is needed for a final determination by the Fish and Wildlife Service to officially list the species as endangered. Some of the points emphasized in the comments were that the best available science or commercial information was not utilized, population data was not transparent, there was a lack of consultation with experts at the EPA, there was a flawed temporal correlation in regards to pesticides and the decline of the bee, and many, many more arguments were articulated on this proposed listing. It will be at least a year before the EPA reaches a final determination. NPMA will keep members apprised of every development.
