NPMA Endorses Regulatory Reform Legislation

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

Last week, NPMA signed onto an industry letter urging the Senate to pass the Regulatory Accountability Act of 2017 (RAA). The RAA compiles six earlier reform bills, which would benefit consumers and entrepreneurs by reforming the process by which Federal agencies analyze and formulate new regulations and guidance documents, to clarify the nature of judicial review of agency interpretations, to ensure complete analysis of potential impacts on small entities of rules, and for other purposes.

The RAA recently passed the House with a bipartisan vote of 238-183 and we are optimistic that the Senate will move forward with passage of the bill as incoming President Elect Donald Trump has expressed the need for regulatory reform articulated in the RAA.
