Proposed Rule Lists Rusty Patched Bumble Bee as Endangered

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

The Rusty Patched Bumble Bee becomes the first proposed bee to be listed as endangered. NPMA has discussed the issue with the EPA and we will provide comprehensive guidance as additional information becomes available. Please note that this rule is not final, it is merely proposed and there is a 60-day comment period. After the comment period, an additional one-year waiting period is needed for a final determination by the Fish and Wildlife Service to officially list the species as endangered.
