The NENA Standard for NG9-1-1 GIS Data Model defines the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Data Model, which supports the NENA Next Generation 9‑1‑1 (NG9‑1‑1) Core Services (NGCS) of location validation and routing, both geospatial call routing or to the appropriate agency for dispatch. This model also defines several GIS data layers (layers) used in local Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) and response agency mapping applications for handling and responding to 9‑1‑1 calls.

2022 looks to be a record-setting year for new ENPs. ENPs have always been leaders in the 9-1-1 profession, in their respective PSAPs, and at state and national levels. Join over 1,700 current ENPs to make positive changes that improve the level and quality of service and accelerate the transition to NG9-1-1.
Now is the time to sign up for the July testing window. You have a choice of going to one of many nearby testing centers, all conforming to COVID precautions, or testing remotely. Our Summer 2022 window is July 9-23, with June 10 as the the last day to submit an application. The next examination period after that will be in October, with applications due by September 2.
