Updated National 9-1-1 Report Addresses System Demographics and NG9-1-1 Implementation Progress

The National 911 Program released the "2014 National 911 Progress Report," which provides detailed reporting and analysis of the most recent collection of 9-1-1 statistics from more than 39 states.

Available at 911.gov, the report collates the data gathered from participating states with the support of the National Association of State 911 Administrators (NASNA). Key findings from the report include:
With a total of 39 states reporting 2013 information during 2014, this report is the most current data available. Plans are already underway for 2014 data collection to commence in May of this year.

The National 911 Program Office will work with NASNA to continue gathering state-level 9-1-1 data on an annual basis as a way to provide measurement for ongoing improvements of 9-1-1 systems.
