A Telecommunicator Week Thank You from NENA CEO, Brian Fontes

No one wakes up in the morning thinking that they are going to call 9-1-1. However, each year, nearly 250 million Americans end up doing just that. On the other end of the line, you are there 24x7x365 waiting to help in what could very well be the most important moments of someone's life.

This week, we celebrate the 35th National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week – an opportunity to recognize you, the unsung heroes of public safety, for your dedication to public service. Despite the low pay, the long hours, the lack of recognition, and the incredible stress, you are always there, keeping citizens safe and calm under the most trying of circumstances. 

So, from the NENA staff and board, thank you for all you do each and every day!
