NENA Mourns the Passing of the Association's First President, Roger Richardson

It is with great sadness that NENA announces the passing of Roger Richardson, the association's first President. Roger was a devoted public servant and a true leader in the 9-1-1 industry. In addition his instrumental role in NENA's formative years, Roger played a key part in the launch of the nation's first ever E9-1-1 system in Orange County, FL, in 1980. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Karen, and their children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He will be missed, but his friendship, contributions, and legacy will endure and not be forgotten.
